[b](Data Sport) - Liegi (BEL), 23 aprile -[/b] Alejandro Valverde ha vinto la 92.ma edizione della Liegi-Bastogne-Liegi, prova del Pro Tour lunga 262 km. La corsa, che vede protagonisti gli italiani Basso, Cunego e Bettini, si ravviva soprattutto nel finale quando Boogerd e Rodriguez attaccano anticipando le mosse dei favoriti. Il gruppo si restringe con il passare dei chilometri complice il duro percorso e il caldo. Sulla salita di St.Tilman tenta l`assolo Bettini nel tentativo di riprendere i due fuggitivi, senza riuscirvi. Sul St.Nicolas, la salita degli italiani, ci prova Di Luca, ma soprattutto Perdiguero che raggiunge Boogerd e Rodriguez al comando. Il gruppetto si ritrova compatto a quattro km dall`arrivo. Tentativo di Basso, a vuoto, si arriva in volata: trionfa Alejandro Valverde, in 6h21`32``, davanti a Paolo Bettini e Damiano Cunego. Lo spagnolo si era gia` imposto alla Freccia Vallone di mercoledi` scorso.
